Tuna Sammich

Here are a couple images from a cartoon pilot I created with my friend Phil Gullett at Startoons years ago. The cartoon was called "Rye Noon" .

Awesome, are there any clips to view? I love the second screen shot, draws the audience in very well.

Thanks guys.

I did the layouts for a lot of this cartoon. I used to always draw my backgrounds with some kind of fishbowl lens/wonky look. Looking back - I kind of miss it.

I don't have a clip to show, but maybe I can look into creating a way to show one.

ah, there you are...i have had tuna sammich hanging out in the back of my brain since i saw "rye noon" at some film fest in chicago years ago. and, i've even been successful at getting a few people addicted to randomly yelling "tuna sammich!" anyway, i decided to google it to make sure you were still creating. brilliant work. keep at it!

Just wanted to make a little note. Phil pointed out that he may have drawn the layouts for these shots. I'm certainly not in the business of taking credit for others work - so if that is the case, it stands corrected. Tuna Sammich was a great project that was created thanks to Jon McClenahan, owner of Startoons - willing to take a chance on an idea that two young whippersnappers came up with in our spare time. The talents of other artists and friends can be seen in this as well, which include Mike Feeney, Mike Fritz, Kurt Kanellos, and others who were part of the studio at the time.
