Creepy Scientist

Not much progress made this week - just tiny bits here and there - some family priorities took a front seat. In the meantime, here is some old concept work I did for a project I'd like to do in the future. One of the more solid ideas I have brewing at the moment.

Here are some of the poses to the shot I'm working on. Not exactly in order here, this is a good sample of the types of drawings I do before moving on to the Flash stage.

Tuna Sammich

Here are a couple images from a cartoon pilot I created with my friend Phil Gullett at Startoons years ago. The cartoon was called "Rye Noon" .

Christmas Eve

Here's a still of the most recent finished work. The previous sequence dissolves to this establishing shot of Santa's reindeer on the rooftop of the family's house. The animation is just snow falling and enough action to keep the reindeer looking alive.

I'm going to break the order at this point and finish up animation on a scene that was never completed. A heftier shot because there are more characters - and it's the shot that introduces the family, so I expect it to take some time. I'll probably post bits of progress as I move along.

Take care everyone!

Kissin' Alien
A couple frames from the finished kissing shot. This completes this sequence!
I'm a little concerned with the hook-up (just trying to avoid it looking like a jump cut), but I'm going to try living with it a while. In the meantime, on to the next shot!

Camping in the Back Yard
Here is a frame from animation that was completed June 11, 2005

Kissin' Santa's Nose
Here's the board panels to the shot I'm working on. A quick moment where the Alien and Santa bond - the Alien thanking Santa for agreeing to his wish and kissing him on the nose. So far, Santa is completely animated. Animating the Alien is next. I worked on Santa first because the Alien - even though driving some of the action - is treated as secondary action because he resides in the hat that Santa moves around.
